Fujifilm XF-1

Partial protocolInstall: hardImported

Part of the protocol is documented (e.g. telemetry, not control).

Fujihack documents its RTOS API and patches its firmware 1.01 with a USB debugger (experimental).

Get started

One known way to put open firmware or software on this device, easiest first. Each one links to the project's own instructions.

Before you start
  • Back up your data and settings (and the stock firmware, when the guide says how).
  • Check the exact model, hardware revision and firmware version against the guide: a close model may not work.
  • Charge the battery or use a stable power supply; do not unplug during the install.

Firmware
Built against Fujifilm firmware 1.01.

A patched firmware update is built from Fujifilm's own and installed from the card like an official update; the USB debugger then runs code on the camera. Experimental: a bad patch can brick the camera and its boot ROM recovery is not reverse engineered. Flashing an unmodified official update restores it if the camera still boots.

OpenDeviceDB links to each project's own instructions and tools; nothing is flashed from this site. Flashing is at your own risk and may void the warranty.
